Actor Anubhav Mohanty Joins Politics/Anubhav Mohanty Joins Biju Janata Dal (BJD)


Ollywood Super star Anubhav Mohanty joins BJD,Bhubaneswar:After suffering a triple blow in NAC elections earlier this month, BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik has roped in Ollywood superstar Anubhav Mohanty into the BJD to boost the party’s campaign in the forthcoming elections to urban local bodies and Assembly polls in 2014. Flanked by another cinestar and Berhampur MP Sidhant Mohapatra and former Indian hockey captain Dilip Tirkey, Naveen Patnaik today announced Anubhav’s formal entry into BJD at Naveen Niwas in the presence of the matinee idol.
“I am delighted that Anubhav Mohanty, our famous film star, has joined the Biju Janata Dal Today. This will give us a tremendous boost in the State particularly amongst the young people of Odisha”, Naveen said.
The BJD was able to lure two yesteryears superstars- Sidhhant Mohapatra and Prasant Nanda- to the party earlier. This time, the party successfully attracted another popular actor of the young generation showing a good sign for the ensuing general elections 2014.
“I am a fan of this party and our honourable chief Minister. I am really blessed that I am here. I should always work with those people who are actually working for people. So, when I thought of doing something through politics, I am really blessed that I got the opportunity to be a part of BJD. I strongly believe that I am definitely going to work for people. What made me really crazy is the Youth Policy of BJD” Anubhav Said.
The actor, who has emerged as a youth icon in a few years, after doing 100s of album music videos in his teens,finnaly made his debut in ‘I Love You’ which was released in 2004 January. Since then he has been gaining popularity by delivering many blockbusters
